Having a video baby monitor can provide that added peace of mind to parents of babies with sleep apnea, and for those who have reason to be concerned about SIDS.

The baby monitor screen can either be wall-mounted or it can sit on a table top, and it pivots to enable you to get the ideal view of your baby. This black and white video baby monitor automatically detects and adjusts to darkness, allowing you to see your baby even in the dark. The 900 MHz frequency provides a clear picture quality which is very good during the day, and more than adequate during the night.

This baby monitor also delivers sound in addition to video, and it has lights to indicate the sound level in the nursery. You can even turn off the video and monitor the nursery by the audio alone. The Sight and Sound Video baby monitor also comes with three a/c adapters (so there's no need to burn thru batteries) as well as a portable audio receiver with a belt clip, which is great for taking around the house with you, or even outside. It also has a low battery indicator.

The Safety First Sight and Sound Baby Monitor can provide you that extra peace of mind by allowing you to see your baby without constantly entering the nursery and risking waking him up. However, having researched other reviews of this video baby monitor, I've found that while many customers loved this baby monitor while it worked, it did reportedly cease to function after a short while, particularly the infrared night vision. This is, of course, anecdotal evidence of a quality issue with this feature. However, there may be other video baby monitors on the market in the same price range that do not have product quality issues being reported.
