For those who might otherwise pick up interference from other household electronics, Sony's Baby Call Nursery 9 Channel Baby Monitor is a nice alternative to the typical two channel monitor, for about $10 less than their deluxe 27 channel baby monitor model.

The ultra-sensitive microphone minimizes background noises, although it may reduce quiet baby talking to "background noise" in the voice-activated standby mode.

This baby monitor has a very good range and generally will not interfere with other electronics, especially given that it has nine frequency channels to choose from.

The Baby Call Nursery Monitor is quiet and generally static free with a clear sound quality, and it has a built in A/C adapter so there's no need to burn through batteries.

Overall, this is a good quality baby monitor for a decent price. However, one might experience problems with the out of range alarm beeping for no apparent reason with this baby monitor. This problem might be resolved by moving the receiver to a different location, but there is no way to turn it off or otherwise disable the out-of-range alarm.
